How It Happened
How we meet
We had known each other from Sabbath School since 2017, but officially began speaking at church in May 2018. The following Monday, he reached out via Instagram DMs, and we quickly became fast friends.
How he asked me out
After a wonderful day with friends and church fellowship, we sat in his car as the sun set. Following weeks of deep conversations about our future, he asked me to be his girlfriend. Without hesitation, I said "yes" - beginning our beautiful journey together.
How He Proposed
The day after our 2nd anniversary, in the comfort and intimacy of our home, he surprised me with a heartfelt proposal. With no audience but us, surrounded by memories we'd built together, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever. The private moment made it all the more special and personal.
Our Formal Introduction
I was surprised when he arrived at my home with his closest brotherhood friends. Their presence signified the seriousness of his intentions as he formally declared his commitment to me before my family. This traditional step meant so much to me, as it beautifully merged our modern relationship with our cultural values. Seeing him stand there, supported by his friends, made me feel truly cherished and respected.
